Tickets for the 11th Annual Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert go on sale Friday, Sept. 10th through Star Tickets Plus outlets, by calling 888-597-STAR, or online at www.shiner.com.
To commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert, Shiner has rounded up the most diverse, energetic and rocking line-up ever to hit Texas, let alone the little town of Shiner.
Having sold tens of millions of albums in a career that boomed in 1999 after 10 years of anonymity in Detroit night clubs, Kid Rock will unleash and take the stage with a bang and the roar of a crowd! Rock's most recent album is free of rap and heavy metal, instead embracing a mix of outlaw country and classic rock; but on stage the high-energy performer will mix rock n' roll with rap and outlaw country for his best-ever show. With chart-topping international success, more than eight million in album sales and critical accolades, STAIND - singer Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April and drummer Jon Wysocki - will perform smash hits like "It's Been Awhile," "Fade," "For You" and "Epiphany," as well as those from hit album 14 SHADES OF GREY. Stunning, stylistic artist who almost single-handedly introduced blues/rock to a new young audience, Kenny Wayne Shepherd -- known as an incendiary live performer - will perform hits from his most recent album, The Place You're In. One of the most distinctive and original singer/songwriters, Lyle Lovett, will rock the stage with his incisive, witty lyrical detail and eclectic array of music, ranging from country and folk to big-band swing and traditional pop.
With 30 some-aught years of hard fought Western swinging fun, nine-time Grammy-winning Kings of Texas Swing Asleep at the Wheel will be pure entertainment for concert-goers. Cory Morrow, alternative country singer and songwriter, will take the stage with hits from his most recent album Outside the Lines. Morrow is steeped in country music's traditional simplicity but encompasses other musical disciplines as well. Shiner native Bill Pekar and his road band, The Rainey Brothers, will entertain Shiner fans with some of his Texas tunes such as "The Colors are all the Same" and "Jack Daniels and Michelle."
Six hundred overnight campsites will be available to concert-goers for tents and RVs in Green Dickson Park, the site of the Shiner Bocktoberfest Concert, for an additional fee. Space is limited so book early! Register for camping at www.shiner.com.
