Entertainment Weekly calls 'Oceania', her Olympics song, "strikingly beautiful/rapturously acquatic/suggesting a harem of pleased dolphins - it's the nearest evolutionists have come to having their own gospel tune." Along with her musical skills, they also admire her lyrical poetry, noting "there's a lot of flesh, bone, and blood in the lyrics too."
