David Attenborough's RISE OF ANIMALS, the latest documentary produced by the renowned British filmmaker and naturalist. Hailed by The Sunday Times as "engrossing", RISE OF THE ANIMALS is currently showing on BBC2.
Douek has previously collaborated with Attenborough on GALAPAGOS 3D (co-composed with Elik Alvarez and Freddy Sheinfeld) which will be released into IMAX and Giant Screen Theaters in February of 2014. The acclaimed documentary will be distributed worldwide by nWave

Joel Douek is an award-winning composer and instrumentalist, whose music has appeared on TV, films, commericials, as well some of the most prestigious documentaries of the last few years. Douek has provided music for several of Sir
David Attenborough films, including his groundbreaking foray into 3D and a number of other award-winning productions.
RISE OF ANIMALS marks Douek's 7th collaboration with Attenborough including FLYING MONSTERS 3D, GALAPAGOS 3D, KINGDOM OF PLANTS 3D (co-composed with Alvarez and Sheinfeld), FIRST LIFE and the recent UK release MICRO MONSTERS 3D (co-composed with Alvarez and Sheinfeld). Douek has earned several awards for his works including Best Documentary Score at the Park City Film
Music Festival (FLYING MONSTERS 3D) and the GoldSpirit Award for Best Score for Documentary at the 2013 International Film
Music Festival of Córdoba, Spain (KINGDOM OF PLANTS).
Specializing in orchestral drama, Douek brings a fascination with world music and electronica into many of his scores. He recently scored the film THE TALL MAN starring
Jessica Biel, for Atlantic Screen Music. The soundtrack, which was released digitally last year will be released on CD on October 8th by Screamworks Records in partnership with Kronos Records.
RISE OF THE ANIMALS is currently showing in the UK on BBC2 and will air in the US in 2014. GALAPAGOS 3D IMAX will be released in theaters worldwide in February 2014. THE TALL MAN will be available on CD on October 8, 2013.
