NASHVILLE (Top40 Charts) - The music community in Nashville has quickly come together for Nashville United in Peace, Prayer, and American Pride, a memorial vigil scheduled for the victims of Tuesday (Sept. 11)'s tragic terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the victims of the related United Airlines crash in Pennsylvania. Martina McBride will sing the the national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner," at the public vigil, which will take place at Centennial Park at 6 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 12) in the Tennessee capital. In other country news, Joe Diffie is leading a blood drive to help victims of the tragedies, and well himself give blood along with his staff and family in the coming days. "I am sickened, saddened and angry and like everyone else, I want something done about this," Diffie told allstar.
