NEW YORK (AP) - The news of the terrorist attacks on World Trade Center and Pentagon has prompted Bay Area rap group the Coup to change the cover of its album Party Music, slated to be released November 6 on 75 Ark Records. The original artwork pictures members Boots and DJ Pam posing in front an enflamed World Trade Center's Twin Towers. A spokesperson for 75 Ark told that the label intended to pull the original artwork. "That is the plan," said Toni Isabella, the label's manager
and VP of A&R.
Boots, who participated in the Black August event in South Africa, was expected to return to the States over the weekend. The Coup, a politically charged group likened to Public Enemy and KRS-One, debuted on the hip-hop scene in 1993 with Kill My Landlord, followed by 1994's Genocide And Juice, and 1998's Still This Album.
