LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) One of the biggest releases in the electronic music calendar 'Annie Mac Presents 2013' is out now on Virgin/EMI Records and is split across 2 mixes full of Annie's favourite tracks of the year. The 2013 album is the 5th in the annual AMP series and this week it will also be released for the first time in the USA, Australia & New Zealand. Last year's instalment of
Annie Mac Presents topped the iTunes albums chart and 2013's selection is just as sharp, bringing together an eclectic mix of established and emerging artists and featuring specially commissioned exclusive tracks by some of the hottest names in electronic music.
Mix 1 represents all of the tunes
Annie has been playing out at clubs, parties and festivals over the year. The mix features some of the strongest releases from 2013 including 'When a Fire Starts to Burn' from Disclosure, Mercury nominee Rudimental's 'Waiting All Night', Chase & Status' 'Lost & Not Found' and Duke Dumont's number 1 smash 'Need U (100%). Other heavyweight tracks include
Jessie Ware's Bashmore-produced 'Imagine It Was Us', Breach's club favourite 'Jack' and rising producer Mike Mago's hit 'The Show', all firmly representing the resurgence of house music in 2013.
Mix 2 is a more laid-back listen, featuring some of Annie's favourite soul and hip-hop tracks of the year including UK trio London Grammar's 'Hey You', rated-producer
Cyril Hahn's single 'Perfect Form', Sam Smith's 'Safe With Me', Miguel's 'Adorn', Chris Malinchak's soulful hit 'So Good To Me' and A$AP Rocky's 'Fashion Killa'.
Two weeks ago AMP revealed the first exclusive track off the compilation, 'My Love' from the hyped UK producer Route 94. Last week we unveiled another track 'Can't Stop' which comes from the charismatic and talented Newcastle artist Lulu James, as produced by Two Inch Punch.
Lulu
James is a 21 year old singer hailing from the North East of England. Her emotive 21st Century soul sound is making waves across the world. Rapidly establishing herself as one of the leading sounds to emerge in 2013, Lulu was booked for 'Later with Jools' for the pre-summer series. Lulu's signature sound traces an arc between dance, soul, R&B and pop to create something truly brilliant. This autumn Lulu will join
Annie Mac, Duke Dumont, MNEK and
Cyril Hahn for the 8-date AMP tour which kicks off on the 8th November at The Warehouse Project in Manchester and finishes on 30th November at the Academy in Dublin. Tickets are available on www.anniemacpresents.com
