Produced by the band and their long-term producer Jason Perry, album number 6 saw the boys decamp to El Paso, Texas, where they wrote and recorded together to capture the spontaneity of the song writing process.

McFly have contributed to both of their albums to date, with another of their tracks due to appear on 1D's forthcoming third album. McFly Show' special. Additionally, Tom wowed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic when his wedding speech went viral earlier this year.
In 2012 the band commemorated their 'Memory Lane' greatest hits compilation by releasing their joint autobiography 'Unsaid Things', which enlightened even the most dedicated fans with its new revelations and intimate writing.
McFly's new, as yet untitled, album will be released in spring 2014.
