Sunshine Band has received the nomination to the 2014 Songwriter's Hall of Fame , to be awarded Thursday, June 12th, 2014 in New York, NY. Founded in 1973 in Miami, Florida, KC and the
Sunshine Band's funk, R&B, and disco songs have charted globally. As leader of KC and the
Sunshine Band, Harry Wayne Casey wrote some of the biggest and most enduring songs of the disco era. He wrote
George McCrae's 1974 No. 1 hit "Rock Your Baby," and has also penned songs for Betty Wright and Jimmy "Bo" Horne. His hits for KC and the
Sunshine Band include chart-toppers "Get Down Tonight" and "That's The Way I Like It." Key songs in their catalog include: "Boogie Shoes", "Get Down Tonight", "Rock Your Baby", "Shake Your Booty" "I'm Your
Boogie Man", "Keep it Comin' Love", "Give it Up" and "Please Don't Go."

SUNSHINE DOWN UNDER IN 2014
KC and the
Sunshine Band will bring their dance grooves down under in April, to visit Sydney's Enmore Theatre, The Palace in Melbourne, Brisbane's Tivoli Theatre and the main stage at Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
Peter Noble, director of Bluesfest Touring said, "this is a band who came from the era where people bought records and KC and the
Sunshine Band have over 100 million record sales to prove it." He added, "This puts them at the same level of sales as Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, The Who and
