New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ER:M+M) Siddhartha, the indie rock soloist musician revealed the dates for the 3 concerts that will take place in California in December. This will be the long-awaited U.S. debut of one of Mexico's most promising and renowned artists who has earned the media and audiences' respect. Being originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Siddhartha has released two records which have earned him several awards and multiple nominations. The California concerts will take place at Los Globos in Los Angeles, on December 5, at Creek Side Bar in San Jose, on December 6, and at Audie's in Fresno, on December 7.



Siddhartha presented his first album entitled "Why You?" in 2008, and "Náufrago" in 2011. The release of his first production, "Why You?", earned him the Indie-O Music Awards in the "Best Rock Solo Album" category and later the nomination for the Latin Grammy in the "Best Rock Solo Vocal Album." This record has been classified as one of the year's best productions by magazines such as Warp, Marvin, Rolling Stone (Mexico), Sónika and Círculo Mixup. The videos made for the first and successful singles of his debut album, "Sacúdeme", "Control", "Volver a Ver" and "Colecciono Planetas", reached top positions on MTV, Telehit, Ritmoson and Exa TV, and some of his songs have been included in movies.



His second album "Náufrago" was released surrounded by great expectations from audiences and the press and immediately reached top selling positions. It has become one of iTunes 5 most sold records. This album resulted in four singles with their respective videos "Náufrago", "Domingo", "Extraños" (nominated in 5 categories at the Pantalla de Cristal Festival) and "El Poema y La Caja", that is being shown on Mexico's main video channels. This album has been considere done of the 10 best records of 2011 by Rolling Stone, Warp magazine and URL Magazine, among other publications, and received the Latin Roll Award for "Náufrago" as Song of the Year and the Nuevas Lenguas award for Best Latin Artist. "Náufrago" has also obtained 3 nominations at the 2011 Indie Music Awards.

The release of this production signaled the onset of the "Náufrago" tour that has led him to perform with great success in every Mexican city he visited on this tour, resulting in sold-out shows at each of his performances, including venues such as the Lunario at Auditorio Nacional and the prestigious Voila Antara.

Siddhartha's musical history has been a long one. Some of its highlights are his collaboration as drummer for the group Zoé during their "The Room" tour and the recording of "Memo Rex Commander" and "Corazón de la Vía Láctea." He is now participating as producer of the bands Technicolor Fabrics and Caloncho.

SIDDHARTHA will release his third record at the beginning of 2014 and recently made the debut of "El Aire", the new album's first single wich is available in all digital stores.
