Aussie Rocker Meliya Releases Debut Single "Get Out"
Los Angeles, California (Top40 Charts/ Korporate Rock) Officially released on December 2, 2013, Get Out is the first track from Meliya's upcoming E.P.

Get Out is an unusual mix of rock, pop and punk and was produced via online file sharing in collaboration with rising record producer, Rocky Byrd, and shredder guitarist, James Grossenheider.

"We started working together on Get Out when I was still employed by the Royal Australian Navy in Brisbane, Australia. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles but Rocky is based in Missouri and James is based in Ohio, so Get Out continued to be a long-distance project," Meliya said.

Although Meliya has just surfaced on the music industry's radar as a solo artist, she has performed in various alternative bands for the past 10 years in Australia and supported well-known Australian acts such as The Radiators, Killing Heidi, Grinspoon and The Butterfly Effect.

Despite incorporating a strong pop element into her solo work, Meliya's inner rocker continues to shine through with catchy guitar hooks, killer solos and super chunky power chords. Her short, sharp songwriting is complemented by lyrics that strike the hearts of listeners, no matter who they are or where they come from.

"Get Out is about finally reaching that point in your life where you just don't give a crap about how the 'sheeple' view you anymore. It's about feeling liberated and satisfied with the path you have chosen - and the person you have become, despite the obstacles and 'naysayers' you had to dodge along the way," Meliya said.

"We're really excited about getting this first song out there while continuing to work on the E.P. I'm grateful for everyone's support to date and hope you all enjoy shamelessly rocking out, dancing and singing along to Get Out."

Get Out is available online at all major digital outlets including iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/get-out-feat.-rocky-byrd-james/id750073460 and JB Hi-Fi.

Hard copies are also available for purchase via Amazon.com at https://www.amazon.com/feat-Rocky-Byrd-James-Grossenheider/dp/B00GPI3JP4 .
