New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Despite lead singer Jon Foreman's surfing injury the day before the release of their new album (January 14 on Atlantic Records/Word), forcing the postponement of their hometown record release show in San Diego, the Grammy-award winning rock band have plenty to be happy about - Fading West has debuted at #6 on this week's Billboard Top 200, and came in at #2 on the Rock Album Charts. Their previous release, 2011's Vice Verses , peaked at #8.
The success is fueled by two hit singles, "
Who We Are" and "Love Alone Is Worth The Fight," and the band's recently released feature film, also titled Fading West , which is continuing to reach new audiences for Switchfoot.
