'Angel Eyes' hits Top 10 in the most downloaded on the net

NEW YORK (Bliss Ent./ www.blissentco.com) - "Russ Castella featuring Karen Vazquez - Angel Eyes" has jumped to No 8 most downloaded song on the internet according to mp3search.com. This Philadelphia based duo has racked up approximately 15,000 downloads within a two week period beating many major artists such as Nelly Furtado, Usher, and Britney Spears. The track entered the chart only two weeks ago.

Bliss Entertainment LLC, the record label which was formed by Russ Castella, 20, earlier this year, showed no remorse in the fact that "Angel Eyes" is being downloaded for free at such large quantities. The company actually stated that they will continue to heavily promote the free downloading of their artist's mp3 because it spurs the popularity of their artists. "If you look at it in the long run," says Russ Castella, "It only helps us for the future to be prepared for more important projects like full length albums. When we see a rising popularity, then we can somewhat expect a demand."

The independent record label has also announced earlier last week that it will initiate a CD giveaway marketing campaign in mid December. Thousands of CDs will be available to patrons of hundreds of venues across US. The venues include participating clubs, bars, lounges, and retail stores. The CD will include "Angel Eyes" as well as a few other songs by Russ Castella.

Russ Castella also shows up in the TOP 50 list at No 42 with his "So Exotic" release which has been gaining popularity on the dance floors worldwide. The album is expected sometime in mid 2005.

Bliss Entertainment is one of the few record labels who support the idea free mp3 downloading to the extent of permission by the record label or the copyright holder. "You can download the mp3s all you want," states Russ Castella, "but not from those who are against sharing their music to world for free. That is equivalent to stealing and should continue to stay illegal."
