NEW YORK (JRGR press release) - Leading salsa/world music trombone icon, Jimmy Bosch returns with his blazing horn and powerful lyrics on his new release El Avion De La Salsa (the salsa plane). Jimmy is called the ambassador of Salsa Dura. He ignited a movement, which he started by combining old school quality salsa arrangements, with a modern NY aggressive edge, and socially conscious lyrics.

Bosch has performed and recorded with some of the highest profile Latin artists including Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Israel Cachao Lopez, Oscar D' Leon, Ruben Blades, Fania All-Stars, and many others. He has appeared on countless recordings including Grammy winning albums with Cachao, Paquito D' Rivera, Ray Barretto, and is featured in the current Spanish Harlem Orchestra recording "Across 110th Street" which also features Ruben Blades.

Additionally, Jimmy appears on the new Cachao CD titled "Ahora SÌ" produced by actor Andy Garcia. Bosch was invited as a special guest in this year's JVC Jazz Festival at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Heineken Jazz Festival in Puerto Rico and countless festivals throughout Europe and will perform many other high profile events throughout the fall including the Fania All-Stars concert at the Continental Arena, NY and in Miami.

On this highly anticipated new production all songs are written and produced by Jimmy Bosch.
Honored guests include Yomo Toro, Andy Gonzalez, Alfredo de la FÈ, Oscar Hernandez, Ray de la Paz, Dave ValentÌn, Herman Olivera, and the stellar debut of Ray Bayona on lead vocals.
