Henry Mancini To Be Celebrated With Multiple Commemorative Releases, Including 11-CD Box Set
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Enterprises) The remarkable career of Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) composer Henry Mancini will be celebrated with a variety of commemorative releases throughout 2014, including an 11-CD box set comprising the best of his classic film soundtracks to be released by Sony/Legacy Recordings. The 50th anniversary of Mancini's iconic "The Pink Panther Theme" was recently marked with the April 19th release of a limited edition 12" pink vinyl LP created exclusively for Record Store Day 2014, and a retrospective tribute featuring catalog and new recordings of the composer's unforgettable songs is currently under development as well.

Throughout his career, Henry Mancini released close to 250 album titles and scored more than 190 films. He holds the record for most Grammy nominations with 72, out of which he won 20. Mancini also netted 18 Academy Award nominations, winning a total of four Oscars. His other honors include a Golden Globe, two Emmy nominations, and a United States Commemorative Postal Stampreleased in 2004.
