New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Music Choice rings in the holidays on three of its popular music channels starting today with non-stop holiday music. MC
Sounds of the Seasons will flip its format to traditional non-holiday music along with MC Soft Rock and Romances
Music Channels. This marks the first year all three have flipped this early in the season. Traditionally,
Sounds of the Seasons was the only station to go all holiday on the popular music service right after Halloween.
Damon Williams, VP of Programming stated: "Viewership on our channels spikes during the holiday season with our average audience increasing by 11%. In 2013,
Sounds of the Seasons was up 47%, delivering the highest ever ratings and audience. As a result, we decided to flip earlier on our MC Soft Rock and Romances
Music Channels offering our national audience a one stop place for all things holiday on the best screen in your house - your TV!"
MC Soft Rock will feature holiday hits from artists including Rod Stewart, Carrie Underwood,
James Taylor,
Kelly Clarkson, Michael Bublé and many more along with MC exclusive acoustic versions through December 31, 2014.
MC Romances will feature predominantly Spanish language songs from artists including José Feliciano and
Prince Royce as well as English language songs from Harry Connick,
Barbara Streisand and more through January 6, 2015.
For those who prefer traditional holiday songs, MC's
Sounds of the Seasons
Music Channel will continue to feature them non-stop through January 6, 2015. Featured on the channel are old time favorites including Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Mitch Miller,
Gene Autry and many more!
Starting November 28, MC R&B Soul will feature non-stop holiday hits 24/7 from artists including Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston,
Mary J. Blige and
Anthony Hamilton through December 31, 2014. A sprinkling of holiday music will also air on many of our other music channels starting the day after Thanksgiving, November 28, 2014.
Holiday videos will be available on
Music Choice On Demand under the Holiday Hits section starting November 24, 2014. Artist videos include Justin Bieber, Chris Brown,
Rascal Flatts and
Mariah Carey classics!
