Music says, "Breanna has dramatically entered the musical landscape with the centerpiece track 'Fly Alone.' Given the reverence with which her duet partner
Fat Joe is held, it's a delightful journey for two convincing artists."
Breanna, who was discovered by Mijares when she performed at a Big Talent Showcase (bigtalentshowcase.net) in
Orange County, CA early in 2014, is excited to have the opportunity to share her talents with audiences beyond her home region. The Denver based singer says, "I think that 'Fly Alone' is a great first single for me. It really showcases my voice and I love the upbeat pop-dance vibe, which is the style I always envisioned for myself when I was dreaming of this moment. It's also very special because I had the chance to work with
Fat Joe and D.One, both of whom are amazing artists and brought a lot of hip-hop energy and fun to the recording.
"The message of the song resonates with me as well," she adds. "It's about a girl who has feelings for a guy and she really wants him to like her back. She's terrified that he won't reciprocate her feelings. 'Fly Alone' is also a powerful metaphor for me, finally getting my music out there and hoping that I can connect in a meaningful way and touch people's lives. That's the reason I've always wanted to be a professional singer - to make a difference in people's lives."
Breanna, who began singing at age four and has taken vocal lessons since she was six, has been doing that very thing for many years in a variety of ways throughout Colorado, from numerous gigs at local coffee shops to major events like the World Championships of Performing Arts (2009).
"Singing has been my passion for years," Breanna says, "and I feel blessed that so many people appreciate what I do and are helping me make my dreams come true. From meeting and working with Manny Mijares and Jason Dauman to recording and shooting the video for 'Fly Away,' this has been a truly amazing experience."
