New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With the colossal statement-of-intent that is 'Mind Your Manners' still shredding up the airwaves, Pearl Jam are back for round two with new single 'Sirens', out October 14 th on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records.
Taken from their eagerly anticipated forthcoming album, 'Sirens' is an emotionally-driven ballad which Rolling Stone have called 'epic'.
Written by the band and produced by Brendan O'Brien, it's one of the standout tracks on 'Lightning Bolt', their first studio album in four years, following 2009's 'Backspacer', and their tenth to date.
New songs 'Lightning Bolt', 'Future Days' and 'Mind Your Manners' were previewed at the band's acclaimed Chicago Wrigley Field show.
Mojo said the new songs were "precision driven classic rock with a hardcore crunch". The Sun SFTW called the show 'unforgettable' while Kerrang declared that Pearl Jam have "reaffirmed their status as the world's best live band ".
Pearl Jam are gearing up for a two-leg, 24-date North American tour. The first leg kicks off in Pittsburgh on October 11 th and wraps in New Orleans November 1st. The second leg begins in Dallas November 15 th and closes in the band's hometown of Seattle on December 6 th .
In 2011, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with a special concert weekend in the US followed by the release of Cameron Crowe's film, Pearl Jam Twenty, along with an accompanying book and soundtrack of the same name.
