New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ YELLING Official Website) - Have you heard what THE YELLING is all about? With only the five-tracks from their self-titled, digital-only debut EP released a mere four months ago, the newly formed LA quartet is winning over the ears of all they come upon. For the next phase of their odyssey, THE YELLING will release their debut full-length Long Time My Love on April 28, 2009.

All five tracks from the digital EP are present on Long Time My Love, remixed and re-mastered, laying the foundation for the band's full-length assault on the masses. While the debut EP was a causal introduction of THE YELLING... Long Time My Love is the declaration.

Long Time My Love stretches the palate of THE YELLING's powerful, melodic and aggressive sound. For all the "Sonic fury comparable to a thunderstorm over a volcano during an earthquake" (Ventura County Reporter) of "Fire And A Microphone," there is also the dream woven acoustics of "Mother Carried a Child." Though the fuzzed-out, slide-driven march of "21st Century Freak" that introduces the album may mark them as being "High-impact, blues-informed rock fiends"(John Payne, LA Weekly), the hypnotic shuffle of the title track and the mellow piano laden "Remember When You Were Young" & the tranquil "Sunday Matinee" display the diversity and soul at the core of the band's sound. The album is an emotional journey where surroundings, vulnerability & angst are the muse.

THE YELLING was founded a little over a year ago when Robert and Nathaniel moved to downtown LA to start a band and took solace in a run-down warehouse with no shower, sleeping on the floor and dubbing their pseudo-home a rehearsal space. South African via Boston drummer Michael Judd joined and the trio began writing, jamming, living and breathing their music. Bassist Chris McKee filled out the line-up and THE YELLING created music as intense, dynamic and shocking as their settings.

"Each song takes on its own life and is usually orchestrated differently than the one before. It can start with a riff or lyrics, or a drum beat or bass line. It's usually different each time," guitarist Robert Davis tells Joe Woodard of the Santa Barbara News-Press about the band's writing process.

Critical praise continues to roll in as the LA quartet repeatedly demolishes stage after stage along the west coast. "Blood On The Steps" was recently the iTunes free Discovery Download and the band was featured in the Alternative Indie Spotlight section of the magnanimous music outlet. The track is also featured on the new "GRAND THEFT AUTO IV" and The Yelling's music was recently featured in the new MTV series "Nitro Circus" w/ Travis Pastrana. THE YELLING drop their debut full-length Long Time My Love on April 28, 2009 and look forward to both U.S. and UK tours to support the release.

THE YELLING is:
Nathaniel Cox - Vocals/ Guitar
Robert Davis - Guitar
Michael Judd - Drums
Chris McKee - Bass
