Ray Charles grabbed a posthumous share of the spotlight from the hip young Turks of the urban music scene at the 47th annual Grammy awards today.
The ceremony at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles was hosted by red-hot musical diva and movie star Queen Latifah.
Among the performers were Keys, Irish rockers U2, country star Tim McGraw and Green Day. Actor John Travolta and comedienne Ellen Degeneres were among the presenters.
