Dubstep/Trumpet Hybrid Becomes A Viral Sensation
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Trendsetter Marketing) Trumpeter, rapper, singer and songwriter, Matt Von Roderick has released his official mix and eye popping music video for "Let the Trumpet Talk" on YouTube. With a unique blend of dubstep and impressive trumpet solos, Matt creates a cutting edge twist on what modern jazz can be, making good on The Huffington Post's 2010 declaration that "Matt Von Roderick Makes Jazz Dangerous Again". The Official "Let the Trumpet Talk" mix is a viral sensation, having amassed over 4 million views since it's release on Tuesday, February 26th.

The "Let The Trumpet Talk" music video features cameos from Autumn Reeser (Entourage, The OC) and comedic legend Jerry Zucker (The Naked Gun, Airplane!). The official mix was produced by The Identifiers and the video was directed by the Tony nominated director of Rock of Ages, Kristin Hanggi.

Coming up in the New York City arts scene, Matt made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2003 as a feature guest soloist with the New York Pops Orchestra, and was named Jazz Artist of the Year by the Independent Music Awards as judged by rock music icon Lou Reed. While in New York, Matt earned comparisons to "a postmillennial Chet Baker" by The New York Times, which also cited him as among the significant "New Voices From Jazz's Emerging Generation". Currently based in Los Angeles, Matt's recent live shows have played on a futuristic speakeasy theme, of which TheComet.com says "Matt Von Roderick's Lush Life Brings Hollywood Glamor Back To Life".

Matt has collaborated with such diverse artists as: Neil Diamond, Brad Mehldau, Tenacious D, DJ Spinna and Dionne Warwick. His work as a performer has been featured on NBC's Saturday Night Live and as both soloist and composer at the Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Matt received his Bachelor's of Music from The Oberlin Conservatory, and a Master's from New York University which he attended on fellowship through the Alberto Vilar Global Fellowship in the Performing Arts, dubbed "The Rhodes Scholarship of the Performing Arts". Matt was recently introduced to the Los Angeles Grammy community when he was selected to perform solo trumpet as part of the opening ceremony at the 2013 Grammy Foundation's Play It Forward event in Beverly Hills.

Matt Von Roderick continues to push the limits of jazz, pop and beyond. Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/P6OiXc820Zg
