Earth Day Marks The Launch Of Leg Two Of REVERB's Campus Consciousness Tour With Partner L.L.Bean, Supporting Student Environmental Efforts
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ REVERB) Environmental non-profit REVERB partners with L.L.Bean to promote environmentalism on college campuses alongside Capital Cities concert tour.

REVERB is launching the second leg of its 13th Campus Consciousness Tour (CCT) this spring featuring electro-pop sensation Capital Cities. Presented by L.L.Bean, Campus Consciousness Tour will visit 14 schools in all, encouraging students to get outdoors and take action to protect natural spaces.

"It's an honor to be a part of a tour that combines the joy of live music with a positive message of environmental preservation and sustainability," said Capital Cities' Sebu Simonian. He added, "As we criss cross the country, we are excited to encounter the boundless energy of college audiences and to be a part of using that excitement and enthusiasm to create change!"

With the theme of "Life Is Better Outdoors," this semester's CCT focuses on supporting campus environmental groups and outdoor clubs while mobilizing students to protect natural spaces.

"The first step toward wanting to protect nature is appreciating the natural spaces around us," explains REVERB Co-Founder and Co-Director Lauren Sullivan. Her husband, REVERB Co-Director Adam Gardner added, "We're looking forward to encouraging students to make the time to connect with the outdoors; it's a great message for all of us to be reminded of when life gets busy, and Earth Day is always a welcome opportunity to celebrate it."

In addition to an interactive Eco-Village at the Capital Cities concert, the Tour sets up a daytime "L.L.Bean BaseCamp" on each campus where students can participate in various activities and games to support campus environmental groups and causes. A highlight of the BaseCamp each day is a special performance by tour support act Scavenger Hunt on a solar-powered stage.

"We're very excited to be such an integral part of this tour. It will be a great way to share the spirit of the great outdoors, while sending a strong message about the importance of preserving our great outdoor spaces in a fun, festive way," said Kelly Warsky, partnership marketing manager with L.L.Bean. "Capital Cities and REVERB are the ideal partners for helping us spread the word about keeping our air, waters and land clean, now and for generations to come."

At the daytime BaseCamp and the nighttime Eco-Village, students will be invited to take photos in the "Better Outdoors Photo Booth" and for each photo taken, the tour will make a five-dollar donation to be split between the campus environmental group and The Student Conservation Association, a national non-profit whose mission is to build the next generation of conservation leaders by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land. The outing club will be on hand at each school to share opportunities for students to sign up for wilderness trips, and each club will receive a $500 gear pack from L.L.Bean. Additionally, students who complete a number of environmental actions in the BaseCamp are entered to win a pair of "Best Seats In The House" for that night's concert and a meet and greet with Capital Cities.

In select markets along the Tour, Capital Cities will join students in local service events to protect and beautify natural spaces as well as leading an outdoor activity with the help of L.L. Bean's Outdoor Discovery School.
