 NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Enya proved that sometimes making a good record and selling lots of them can triumph over a cute mid-riff, lo-rise jeans, and blonde hair. The Irish new age singer took home three awards Wednesday (March 6) night at the 14th Annual World Music Awards at the International Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco, including the World's Best-Selling Female Artist, beating out����������������������������������������Britney Spears. Enya, whose A Day Without Rain was one of the top-selling albums in the U.S. for 2001, was also honored with the awards for World's Best-Selling New Age Artist and World's Best-Selling Irish Artist.

Destiny's Child and Dido also scored three awards ?- which were presented by Prince Albert of Monaco -? apiece. Destiny's Child's honors included the World's Best-Selling Artist or Group, Pop Group, and R&B Group awards. Dido took home the nods for World's Best-Selling British Artist, Pop Female Artist, and Adult Contemporary Artist. This year's biggest GRAMMY?
