TORONTO, Canada (CCMA) - Carolyn Dawn Johnson opened the show with her single "Simple Life." Highlights included Terri Clark winning the Female Artist of the Year title and George Canyon taking the Male Artist of the Year, Kraft Cheez Whiz Fans Choice and Single and SOCAN Song of the Year awards. Host Paul Brandt took home both the Album of the Year and CMT Video of the Year awards. The Road Hammers were named Group of the Year and the Chevy Trucks Rising Star Award went to Amanda Wilkinson, her first award as a solo artist.

This year Canadian Country Music Association Award show was broadcast live on CBC television with encore broadcasts on CMT Canada. The show also aired in the United States on GAC and in Australia on CMC. The winners are listed below.
