Toronto, Ontario (WORD OF MOUTH PR) - Holly Stell, the 13 year-old opera singer who is dubbed 'Petite Pavarotti' and who recently recorded a duet with opera legend
Andrea Bocelli, is releasing her self-titled debut CD in Canada, announced Jack Lenz, President of Lenz Entertainment, and executive producer for Holly Stell's CD.
Stell's 14-track debut album includes the single 'Go Where Love Goes', a duet with Andrea Bocelli for the soundtrack of the feature film, The Lazarus Child. The single also appears on Bocelli's new album 'Andrea'. The CD was composed and produced in Canada by Lenz Entertainment and also includes 'Anabelle Lee', a track penned by Stell.
'Holly's voice, at 13 years old is so strong and beautiful that it proves that age does not limit talent,' said Lenz. 'Holly's accomplishments and motivation are an inspiration to everyone, of any age, to reach for their dreams and believe in their talents and ambitions.'
'I grew up watching my idols, the Three Tenors and never imagined that my love for opera could take me this far. Jack [Lenz has helped me to make this CD a reality,' said Stell. 'Not many people my age are of fans of opera, but I want to change that and bring this art form into the spotlight for a different generation.'
Lenz discovered Stell at a performance during Hilary Duff's High Tea Birthday Benefit for Kids With A Cause in Toronto, a charity to which Holly is a member. 'I met Holly by coincidence. She was a last minute addition to the event. I happened to accompany her on the piano when she sang 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' at the Benefit and I almost fell off my chair when I heard her sing,' said Lenz. 'Holly has a one of a kind talent that is rare, especially for someone of her age.'
Stell, who's credits include soloist in a children's choir, performing for the President of the United States; A&E's 'Holidays At The White House'; NBC's 'Tribute On Ice' featuring Andrea Bocelli; and the distinctions of being the youngest person to ever perform Mozart's, 'Queen Of The Night's Vengeance Aria' as well as the youngest soloist to perform at the Jarvis Conservatory's 'A Night Of Opera'.
Stell will also perform on Sunday November 27, 2005 at the Eglinton Grand for over 300 underprivileged children at a holiday party for KidsFest, a charitable organization dedicated to eradicating child poverty. The event will be hosted by Brian Warren, former Canadian Football League professional. Jack Lenz will serve as the event's musical director.
Some of Lenz Entertainment's most notable projects include composing and scoring Mel Gibson's Passion Of The Christ and most recently completing the musical direction for the feature film, The Lazurus Child, starring Andy Garcia and Angela Bassett (due out in 2006.)
Lenz Entertainment also scored music for some of Canada's most watched television shows including Due South, The Designer Guys, Sue Thomas F.B.
