The newly revealed Streisand tour dates follow the previously announced
Il Volo North American tour schedule, which involves 28 U.S. concerts and four Canadian shows commencing Aug. 12 in Minneapolis with stops in major markets including sold out shows at New York's Beacon Theatre on Sept 4 and Westbury's NYCB Theatre on Sept 5 and 7. Tickets for these shows are available now at Ticketmaster.com and Il Volo's national tour promoter Live Nation at LiveNation.com. Tickets for the Streisand performances will go on sale starting Saturday, Aug. 11 in Montreal and on Monday, Aug. 13 for all other shows.
Il Volo exploded onto the U.S. music scene following a show-stopping appearance on American Idol. Their self-titled Geffen Records debut album came in at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts when it was released in April 2011. Il Volo's two albums still remain at the top of the Billboard Classical Crossover Chart with their most recent set

Il Volo at No. 5 and combined have sold over a million units worldwide. Their widely received PBS Special "Il Volo Takes Flight," Live From The
Detroit Opera House aired this past March and due to its extraordinary success re-aired again in June being shown on PBS outlets nationally over 1,500 times.
Il Volo, incidentally, means "flight" in Italian. When asked why the boys chose this name they responded, "the music makes us fly". The album has been certified platinum in Italy. In the U.S.,
Il Volo has appeared on major TV shows including The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Talk,
Ellen and Rachel Ray. The threesome also made a surprise appearance on the final episode of the HBO Series Entourage. '
"We've travelled all over the world these last two years but love our American audiences," commented the group about their upcoming US tour. "We can't wait to come back and perform for our fans."
In addition to their upcoming tour dates, the group is currently working on a second album, to be released later this year.
