Karen Olson Celebrates Debut Appearance On Billboard New Age Album Chart At #3 And Simultaneously On Billboard Classical Album Chart At #9 For New Album Entitled Songpath
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Renowned virtuoso musician and music visionary, Karen Olson, celebrates her debut appearance on Billboard's New Age Album Chart with a Highest Ranking Debut in at #3 while simultaneously entering Billboard's Classical Album Chart in at #9 (for the week of July 28th, 2018) with SongPath, a collection of nine multi-genre/crossover songs relating to emotional healing and wellbeing and spirituality and categorized in the New Age, Contemporary Classical, Instrumental, Pop, Dance, Vocal, World, and Contemporary Christian music genres. SongPath (released Friday, July 13th, 2018) is Olson's 8th CD release and is a companion to her soon to be published book entitled, 'SoundPath: Using the Power of Sound and Silence for Health, Harmony and Happiness'. This is Olson's first time entering Billboard Magazine's prestigious music charts and she does so her first week of release. SongPath was recorded at Vinegar Hill Sound in Brooklyn, New York; recorded and mixed at Spin Recording Studios in Long Island City, New York; and mixed at The Lodge Recording Studios in Indianapolis, Indiana. SongPath was self-produced by Olson, along with William Kelly Milionis, and mixed by Olson, and William Kelly Milionis. SongPath was mastered at Capitol Records in Los Angeles, California, by Ron McMaster. The album was released on Olson's own Instrumental Wellbeing / Soundview Records label.

"It is an indescribable overwhelming feeling to be on the Billboard Charts, along with a great sense of joy and deep humbling gratitude that my hard work is getting closer to creating my dreams," states Olson excitedly. "I have been working hard for so many years wanting to share music and vibrations in a transformative way. It feels like this recognition will ultimately allow me to reach and help more people."

Olson is an established sought-after authority on emotional healing and wellbeing and through her music she presents her interpretive heartfelt style and original compositions by merging classical, popular, jazz, ambient, and world influences in a most interesting, thoroughly absorbing, and enticingly captivating manner. She combines her unique background as a Violist, Recording Artist, Composer, Author, and intuitive Holistic Healer, to make a positive difference in the lives of others through interactive programming, events, and concert performances that are fun, inspiring, and transformative.

"Experiencing the music that is SongPath as a vehicle for the processes described throughout my soon-to-be-released book entitled, 'SoundPath: Using the Power of Sound and Silence for Health, Harmony and Happiness, is the ultimate tool in order for people to feel the changes in life that are possible," explains Olson. "Looking back at my journey with the making of SongPath, there was always an innate sense this project was going to have a higher purpose that went well beyond my dreams to unimaginable heights. I was able to bring together incredibly talented and gifted individuals; musicians, studio personnel, a Producer, Mixer, Mastering Engineer, and support staff that became a committed family with one passionate goal of creating this positive gift to give to others. Simply just having this support allowed me to push through the fears and huge challenges that were encountered during the making of the album. I faced each challenge head on, and always stood up and walked straight through them. The other side of these challenges were always filled with victorious miracles, over and over. I discovered gifts within myself that I never knew existed. So many blessings of positive transformation. I felt like a flower being watered and coming to life. I learned how let go, even when it seemed impossible. SongPath was created with the support of a community, and it will reach out and positively serve communities."

Olson has always shared the company of the world's greatest performers; from her unforgettable experiences working together with historical music Icons Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Horne, Reba McEntire, Renée Fleming, Roger Daltrey (and members of The Who), to name a few; to her twenty-year plus membership in the New York Pops; to her myriad performances at Carnegie Hall, and presented programs at The Omega Institute, The Open Center, and The Agape Spiritual Center; and, to her most recent SongPath collaborative efforts with incomparable preeminent musical standouts Premik Russell Tubbs and Carlos Cueves, and notable significant up-and-comers Olivia Meihofer and Theo Jones.

Olson's previous musical work, A Hero's Journey (released in 2016) won Zone Music Reporter's 'Best Neo-Classical Album' Award in 2017 and Timeless Being (released in 2010) achieved a #1 position on the Zone Music Reporter Charts. She has a bachelor's degree from Juilliard, master's degrees from Juilliard and Yale, and a Ph.D. from NYU. Her well-known scale book for the Viola is published by ECSchirmer.
