New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Paul Potts' sophomore album 'Passione' will be released on Columbia Records on May 5th. 'Passione' features Potts' original Italian operatic renditions of many classics as well as a duet with Soprano Hayley Westenra and support from the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

'Passione' incorporates Potts' interpretation of several modern pieces including "La Prima Volta (First Time Ever I Saw Your Face)," the romantic folk song written for Peggy Seeger that won a GRAMMY for "Song of the Year" when performed by Roberta Flack; "Memory," the ageless classic written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and "Senza Luce (A Whiter Shade Of Pale)," the radio hit made famous by 60's Brit-rockers Procol Harum.

Also on the album are several classical pieces including Chopin's "Tristesse (Sadness)" and Puccini's "E Lucevan Le Stelle," which ranks as one of Potts' favorites for its haunting melody and Bass clarinet - the same qualities that have established this piece as one of the most emotional songs in Opera.

Originally famous for his win on Britain's Got Talent, Potts debut release 'One Chance' solidified his standing as an international star. The album sold over three and a half million copies and rocketed to the number one spot in 13 countries, and top 10 in an additional eight. In January 2008, Potts' embarked on a world tour with 55 dates but as his popularity soared more dates were added and he completed over 100 sold out shows in concert halls, arenas and stadiums around the globe.

Potts' unlikely rise to fame on Britain's Got Talent drew over 75 million YouTube viewers, and will soon be documented in an upcoming comedy-drama from Paramount Pictures.
