Faith Hill to create a special version of one of its signature CarolersÒ figurines to assist in generating funds and awareness for the singer's recently launched Neighbor's Keeper Foundation.
"The Little Drummer Boy reminds me of the simple beauty and simple joy of giving,' said Faith. 'He is the example of a pure heart filled with love. The Byers Choice Carolers have been in our home for many years now bringing the spirit of the season to all who see them."
'Several years ago, one of our artists said that they had seen Faith Hill interviewed and it looked like there were Carolers on the mantel in the background,' said Greg Roth, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Bucks County, Pennsylvania based Byers' Choice Ltd. 'We later learned that Faith did enjoy our Carolers and we began a conversation about designing something together with her. She wanted a portion of the proceeds to go to charity and we knew then that we shared a common philanthropic mission.'
Over the past several months, Faith co-headlined the Soul2Soul II Tour 2006 with husband Tim McGraw and it was not only the top grossing tour in the U.S. this year, but also the top grossing country tour of all time. 'Within those busy months came the introduction of Faith (and Tim's) Neighbor's Keeper Foundation, so that serendipitously became the 'special charity' to which some of the proceeds would go. The rest just fell into place,' continued Roth.
The Little Drummer Boy theme was selected for the figure as the song is one of Faith's favorites. Its design is intended to capture the innocence, reverence and giving of the Christmas season.
'Giving can take many forms. Whether it's through volunteering, a donation of monies, a sympathetic ear to someone who is hurting or even a heartfelt song played on simple drum, we wanted to create something both touching and inspiring,' says Joyce Byers, founder, owner and designer for Byers' Choice.
The Little Drummer Boy is being sold for $60.00 and is available in limited quantity on-line at the Faith Hill (www.faithhill.com) and Byers' Choice (www.byerschoice.com) websites. Each Little Drummer Boy is handmade by artists in the Byers' Choice Bucks County , Pennsylvania workshop.
Twenty-five percent of the retail sales of each Little Drummer Boy will go to Neighbor's Keeper FoundationSM. The Neighbor's Keeper Foundation provides funding for qualified community charities selected offer local services to those in need of assistance. Established in 2005, it reflects a commitment to neighbors helping neighbors - providing needed support to adults and children from all walks of life. The Neighbor's Keeper Foundation accepts private and public funding and is a 501(c) (3) founded by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
Special Little Drummer Boys autographed by Faith Hill are available for $100.00 with the additional $40.00 going to the Neighbor's Keeper Foundation. These figures are available in limited quantity.
