M.A.D. 9/11 Golf Tournament in Princeton Junction, NJ.
Scheduled for Monday, August 13, Chely Wright, has accepted the invitation to appear as guest speaker and celebrity golfer at M.A.D. 9/11, The Michael Allen Davidson Foundation's 2007 Event to be held at Mercer Oaks Golf Club, Princeton Junction, NJ.
Jeff Davidson and Ellen Davidson established the Michael Allen Davidson Foundation in the name and in memory of his brother and her son, Michael, who lost his life on September 11th, 2001. Michael Davidson worked on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center, North Tower.
M.A.D. 9/11 was created to effectuate change through education and fun. Founded in 2006, the organization's focus is America's youth with the goal of enhancing their thinking toward a more tolerant and accepting manner. To accomplish this, M.A.D. 9/11 has worked with surrounding cities in order to update or refurbish children's playgrounds with new swing sets and slides, to provide new park benches and picnic tables at recreational areas, and donate new scoreboards to local area sports facility. The foundation also contributes annually to The Michael Allen Davidson Scholarship Program and is working with a non-profit organization to create middle school programs addressing tolerance and diversity.
As personal friend to Jeff Davidson and his wife, Anne Marie, Chely accepted the invitation without hesitation. 'The Davidson's are my friends.' Chely shared. 'I have heart-felt compassion and sympathy for their loss. …and I have the shared passion to offer our children every opportunity to strengthen and shape their childhood through social, scholatisc and music education to allow them to become the best adults they can be--these children are our future. I'm proud to be part of this event.'
A special guest speaker, Chely will stress the initiative of M.A.D. 9/11, discuss her experiences as Founder of Reading, Writing & Rhythm (an organization created with the objective of improving the quality of music education in America's schools and raising public awareness surrounding the importance of music education for our nation's youth) and the importance of developing our youth's future, as well as share her experiences and account of her visits with the American men and women in the military overseas.

'She has spent years entertaining our American troops across the globe and her Reading, Writing & Rhythm organization has brought music and music education to children across the country over the past decade. Chely will also participate as a player in the golf tournament scheduled to begin at 11:00AM. She will join Jeff Davidson as part of a foursome. The foundation will host an auction for the two remaining spots on the team.
