Downtown Music Publishing Signs DJ RJD2
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Downtown Music Publishing (Downtown) has signed a publishing agreement with the critically acclaimed songwriter, producer and DJ RJD2.

RJD2, born Ramble Jon Krohn and based in Philadelphia, is known for his signature blend of hiphop, electronica, rock and jazz, achieved both in DJ set form as well as with a live band. Since releasing his 2002 debut album 'Deadringer' to critical acclaim, RJD2 has put out a total of 8 studio albums, 5 EPs, and a number of collaborations and other productions.

In 2007, his album 'Magnificent City Instrumentals' gained recognition after its closing track "A Beautiful Mine" was selected as the theme song for AMC's hit television series 'Mad Men.'

In addition to being a fixture in the DJ / electronic music circuit, he also owns and operates his own record label, RJ's Electrical Connections.

This month will see the release of 'STS x RJD2', a collaborative hiphop album produced by RJ with vocals provided by rapper STS, who's previously appeared on The Roots' album 'How I Got Over' and as a writer on Ciara's single "Oh." In the coming months, Downtown will be collaborating with RJD2 in developing an exclusive collection of music for film and television through its licensing division, dms.FM.
