New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nashville based country artist Orlando Stricklen is looking to strike a nerve in the digital world with the re-introduction of two singles "Looking For A Dad" and "Cold Dead Hands" After a hiatus from the music scene the artists has returned, dusted off two of his best country singles and is ready to bring "good old country music" to modern ears and eyes.
Orlando has kicked off the re-introduction with a behind the scenes video on the making of "Looking For A Dad." The video will be available on YouTube, Vimeo and other popular video streaming sources. In addition, Orlando will follow-up with a music video for "Cold Dead Hands" and a new EP release this fall.
Orlando Stricklen was born "Patrick Orlando Stricklen" on April 25th, 1983. Although born in Perry, Georgia he considers himself an Arkansas Native where he spent most of his childhood. He states that he "always had a love for music even as a child. When my mother died when I was 17, I found that I could release my inner emotions through my music." He also states that "once I seen how my music touched other people's hearts I knew that this is what I was meant to do."
Leaving home at 17, Orlando has lived a bit of everywhere but eventually landed in the "Music City." He is a current resident of Nashville and refers to it as "the best city in the world." Playing since 17, and professionally for 4 years, he has perfected his craft. He refers to
George Strait as his idol and looks up to
Keith Urban and Eric Church. When he is not performing or recording Orlando is a professional arborist (one of the deadliest trades in the world). He hopes to trade in his arborist profession entirely for the music industry someday.
