Kenny Rogers Continues Holiday Tradition With 2013 Christmas And Hits Through The Years Tour
Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) The legendary Kenny Rogers , the newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, will perform holiday favorites and his classic hits across the U.S. and Canada when his 32nd Christmas tour - Christmas & Hits Through The Years with Special Guest Linda Davis . Widely known for spreading holiday cheer with his festive Christmas & Hits shows, Rogers will be joined this year by Grammy Award-winner Linda Davis on a 24-date run that begins November 27th in Montreal, Quebec and wraps December 22nd in Champaign, Illinois.

Rogers, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during a Medallion Ceremony in Nashville on October 27th, has enjoyed a 55-year-career as a Grammy Award-winning recording artist, distinctive vocalist, and consummate entertainer. Amazingly, Rogers has charted a record within each of the last seven decades and scored a hit single in the past six. He received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 47th Annual CMA Awards on November 6th.

Rogers creates an inviting atmosphere annually with his Christmas & Hits shows, which have become a holiday tradition. It is the only place fans can hear Rogers sing traditional and original Christmas songs such as "Joy To The World," "White Christmas," "Mary, Did You Know," and "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)" - with the help of a local choir and children in each tour city - alongside his big hits including "Lady," "The Gambler," "Islands In The Stream," "Daytime Friends," "Lucille," and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town," and many others.

Rogers recently finished recording a new album, You Can't Make Old Friends, which was released by Warner Bros. Records on October 8th to widespread critical acclaim. It debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, marking Rogers' 22nd career Top 10 country album. The bold 11-track recording is highlighted by Rogers' fresh takes on a diverse array of musical styles, including country, soul, folk, rock and even zydeco, and a new duet (and accompanying video) with long-time friend and collaborator, Dolly Parton (see the official music video here: https://bit.ly/1duHy8s ).

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel observes "his voice is still an instrument to be reckoned with" and the Associated Press calls You Can't Make Old Friends "an album that blends the familiar with the challenging, seeking new hits and pursuing new ideas even as he enters the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall." In a glowing review, Country Weekly notes "you have to give Kenny a ton of credit for being willing to spread his wings in new directions—and even more for pulling it off."

Rogers has had a massive year in 2013, having performed on the main stage at the Glastonbury Festival to a colossal audience on the grounds and around the UK as it was televised on BBC. His Through The Years World Tour has included stops in Morocco, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Switzerland, Canada and the U.S. A novel Rogers co-wrote with Mike Blakely, What Are The Chances, was released September 3rd and Rogers' New York Times Best Selling autobiography, Luck Or Something Like It , was released in paperback on September 27th. In addition, Kenny Rogers Presents The Toy Shoppe Starring Billy Dean - a show co-written by Rogers and Kelly Junkermann and featuring music by Rogers - began a run of performances at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, Missouri on November 1st that will run through the holiday season until December 21st (Rogers will not appear in the production).

A trailblazing artist, Rogers has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide during his illustrious five-plus decades in show business. He was the first country artist to consistently sell out arenas and quickly became a pop superstar as well - his 28 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10's is fourth-best all time among men, trailing only Elton John, Neil Diamond, and Elvis Presley. Rogers has recorded 12 No. 1 albums and 24 No. 1 hits - "The Gambler," "Lady," "Lucille," "She Believes In Me," "Coward Of The County," "Through The Years" and "Islands in the Stream" (with Dolly Parton) among them. His Greatest Hits album has sold over 24 million copies worldwide. He is the RIAA's 8th best-selling male artist of all time with one Diamond album, 19 Platinum albums and 31 Gold albums. He has received hundreds of awards for his music and charity work, including three Grammys, 11 People's Choice Awards, 18 American Music Awards, eight Academy of Country Music awards and five Country Music Association awards. Remaining a popular entertainer around the world, Rogers was voted the "Favorite Singer of All-Time" in a 1986 joint poll by readers of bothUSA Today and People. He continues to receive acclaim for his new recordings and live performances. For more information: kennyrogers.com
