Malina Moye: The Voice Of "The Next Generation"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ WCE Records) Rock goddess Malina Moye continues to make Rock & Roll history, defying the odds against genre and race. At the annual She Rocks Awards ceremony on January 24, hosted by The Women's International Music Network, Malina received "The Next Generation" Award. "She Rocks" honors women that display leadership roles and excellence in the music community. Other honorees included Sheila E., Janie Hendrix, Grammy winner Gaby Moreno, Maricela 'MJ' Juarez, Beth Marlis, Dinah Gretsch, and Robin Walenta.

Moye states, "I was truly surprised and honored to be a part of the event, especially to receive the award from Laura Whitmore the founder. She is incredible in her own right and a fearless leader in music, so this means the world to me."

While accepting the award, Malina remarked, "Being among women who are making America more dynamic and who strive to change the world through groundbreaking moments, I will simply underscore that we must continue fighting for the same respect in music as men receive while displaying class, confidence and beauty."

With her wah-wah pedal to the metal, the guitar siren enjoyed a sold out European tour last summer, which included a UK stop to play "God Save the Queen" in honor of Queen of Elizabeth and her 60-year reign. At the same time, Moye's summer single "K-yotic," featuring the iconic Bootsy Collins, set social media on fire and built the stage for her highly anticipated LP "Rock & Roll Baby." The record will see a spring release via BDG/RED, a division of Sony Music Corporation. Malina's lead radio single "I Like It A Little Rough," mixed by Mark Needham (Pink, Imagine Dragons, The Killers), will be hitting the airways this month.

Moye's guitar prowess has earned her a second invite to the roster of the acclaimed Experience Hendrix Tour in March, along side a collection of the most revered guitar players in the world assembled to pay homage to the beloved Jimi Hendrix. Malina's past accomplishments include being the first African American woman to play the National Anthem on guitar at a professional sporting event, playing for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute concert honoring Chuck Berry, and having several Billboard charting records.
