Brad Mehldau Performs From "After Bach" At Philharmonie De Paris

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Brad Mehldau brought his Three Pieces After Bach program to the Philharmonie de Paris back in April 2018. As with his album After Bach, released on Nonesuch in March of that year, the solo program pairs pieces from J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier with Mehldau's own works inspired by Bach. The concert, which was broadcast live from the beautiful Jean Nouvel-designed hall via the European culture TV channel ARTE, is now being made available again as a series. The first segment, posted below on the 335th anniversary of Bach's birth, is the C# Major Prelude from Book I of the Well-Tempered Clavier and the first Rondo from Mehldau's After Bach.

"I'm worried and sad for those who are suffering, and the worst part of that for me, and I think so many of us, is that we have to stay put. My family and I have been spending more time together than we ever have, and that in itself is a great thing.
