New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Persevere Media) - Capitol Heights, Maryland-based independent jazz artist Mychael Pollard is celebrating the worldwide release of his debut LP entitled "Plethora". This 12-track album, featuring a myriad of instruments that Mychael has mastered during his study at the Duke Ellington School for the Arts, is a musical journey of various instrumentation and tempo for jazz and soul music lovers alike. Mychael Pollard plays with grace, style and passion. The Washington, DC, native and multi-instrumentalist fell in love with music at a very young age. From singing in the school glee club to learning to play the flute, Mychael's foray into music also led him into mastering the piano and, at the age of 12, composing his first set of songs. He describes his musical style as adventurous, creative, original and spiritual. He has goals to be an incredible producer, studio owner and an innovator in music. His influences in music are an eclectic mix of the 60's-70's rock and funk of Parliament Funkadelic and Mandrill to the jazz of John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock to the current R&B style of Mary J. Blige and Dru Hill. With no limitations on where his music can go, Mychael is a man that makes sure his music has a very clear message and he aims to let fans and listeners know that real music still does exist. Mychael has connected with fans by performing regionally and beyond. He has graced many stages, including the legendary Blues Alley, The Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, The Mansion at Strathmore, American University, Howard University and CBGB, just to name a few.
