Rose Hall on Broadway at 60th St. in New York. Jazz at Lincoln Center continues a history of commemorating Latin jazz music with Cubana Be Cubana Bop. Including George Russell's "Cubano Be, Cubano Bop", originally performed by Dizzy Gillespie, the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra is scheduled to perform "Manteca" and "Tin Tin Deo" some of Gillespie's most famous contributions to Afro-Cuban music.
The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra is composed of 18 soloists who play classics of the Afro-Latin tradition.
