New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Some of the biggest names in the underground rock scene will partner with The Entertainment
Institute (TEI) on a summer long series of music workshops which will take place on each stop of the Vans Warped Tour.
Working with "gurus" from all facets of the music industry to create unique educational experiences, The Entertainment Institute, founded by
Kevin Lyman (creator of the Warped Tour), Jen Kellogg (20 year concert industry veteran) and Matt Halpern (founder of Bandhappy and drummer of band Periphery), gives music fans the rare chance to learn directly from the people that inspire them most, via customized workshops both online and in-person.
The full list of workshops was announced today and includes gurus from such bands as August
Burns Red,
Black Veil Brides, Senses Fail,
Memphis May Fire, Miss May I, PVRIS, Escape The Fate, Man Overboard, Never Shout Never, Silverstein and many more.
TEI's workshops are customized to the fans interests and will cover a variety of topics such as "Getting Started in the
Music Industry," "Guitar Technique," "Launching Your Band DIY Style, " "YouTube 101," "Build a Career as an Independent Artist", "Develop Your Band Into A Brand" and "Songwriting: Lyrics & Melody."
More than just a meet and greet, workshops will provide a more personal experience giving an inside look to the careers of artists on the tour and what they have learned along the way. Workshops will take place in tents throughout the festival and will be available on each of the tour dates.
TEI also offers online workshops so those who are not able to attend in person can get the same experiences regardless of location.
Co-founder
Kevin Lyman says "The Entertainment
Institute is a fantastic representation of passing knowledge on from generation to generation. I'm excited to provide the attendees of the Vans Warped Tour with an educational platform that will help develop the industry professionals of the future."
