NEW YORK ( George Lamond PR) International Salsa/Dance artist, George Lamond will headline the Dancin' On Air/Dance Party USA Tsunami Benefit on Sunday, February 20, 2005 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Michael's Caf in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Also slated to appear that evening are Tazmania/Metropolitan Records recording artist, Joe Zangie and other special guests. Former dancers and hosts of Dancin' On Air and Dance Party USA will join fans and friends as they help raise funds for UNICEF, one of the leading charities in the mission to aid the tsunami victims.

Dance Party USA and Dancin' On Air helped ignite the careers of many of today's popular artists, such as Madonna, Will Smith (Fresh Prince), Deborah "Debbie" Gibson, Jody Watley, The Jets, New Kids on the Block, Kelly Ripa and Ricky Martin. Dancin' On Air got its start as a local Philadelphia dance show in 1981, airing throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia and Southern California and, in 1985, it made a leap to national acclaim when it began broadcasting on the USA Network as Dance Party USA. More than 800,000 teenagers dance on its stages during its ten-year run. Dancin' On Air and Dance Party USA contributed to such charitable causes as UNICEF and Hands Across America, and broadcasted to thousands of viewers from such remote locations as Dorney Park, the Jersey Shore, Covington, Virginia and Mandan, North Dakota.

Fans, guests and regulars will walk down memory lane as they aid those affected by the recent tsunami disaster. Actual footage from the show's archives will be shown throughout the club, including some artist performances. Frank Cerami of Mix 95.7 will broadcast the events live and will be joined by special co-host, Michael Nise, executive producer of Dancin' On Air and Dance Party USA and former host, Mike Rossi. The benefit will be filmed for later television broadcast. Memorabilia will be available for the fans, including special, never before seen, limited edition DVDs of the show.
