GOLDEN, Colo. (KLH Consulting Services) - Coors Light presents the third annual Rock Prendido Tour featuring popular rock en espanol bands Molotov, Zoe and Delux. The tour kicks off Aug. 1 in New York and travels to Denver, LA, San Jose, San Diego,
Phoenix and Dallas.
"Rock en espanol music appeals to a wide group of Latinos in the U.S., including those from urban centers like Mexico City and San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Latinos that grew up in this country listening to Hip-Hop, Pop and Rock," said Paul Mendieta, director of Hispanic marketing for Coors Brewing Company.
Headlining the tour is the 2005 Latin Grammy award-winning band Molotov. The band fuses rap and metal appealing to both Spanish and English speakers with lyrics in both languages. Molotov formed in 1995 in Mexico City and has achieved widespread popularity. The band's four members are Tito Fuentes, Mickey Huidobro, Paco Ayala and Randy Ebright. Zoe, a leader in the Mexican Pop and Rock genre, combines rock and melodies with hints of electronic sounds. The Mexico City-based band's latest release is due out this summer and features their hit single "Via Lactea." Delux, from Tijuana, emerged in 2000 with their southern California punk rock and eighties new wave sound. Delux was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America.
