RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL (Top40 Charts/ EMI Brasil) - The beauty of the music and dance of Brazil will be transported to Chicago on September 4th at 8PM as Alhambra Palace hosts Brazilian Samba Night with renowned Brazilian singer-songwriter Chico Cesar. Chico Cesar and his full band will perform his classic hits as well as songs from his new CD Francisco Forro Y Frevo (EMI Brasil).

In recent years, Chico Cesar has emerged as one Brazil's leading songwriters and social activist. His poetic compositions with brilliant catchy melodies and touches of reggae and rhythmic percussion of Bahia provide a truly unique musical experience right here in Chicago.

Alhambra Palace will continue the celebration of Brazilian Independence Day far into the night with performances by the Brazilian dancers, Hybrid Rhythm, samba music and Brazilian-inspired drink specials.

Chico Cesar visit to the US is part of the Independence & Music Project coordinated by the Rhythm Foundation in Miami in partnership with the Consulate of Brazil in Chicago, the Embassy of Brazil in Washington D.C. and the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations. International travel provided by TAM Airlines.
