Brentwood, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Sparrow Records) - Multi-platinum San Diego rock band Switchfoot turns comic actor Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Stranger than Fiction, Andy Barker P.I.) into a guitar hero for its new video, 'Awakening.' The fun and innovative clip is now playing at Switchfoot.com/awakening.

Switchfoot bass player Tim Foreman says, 'We wanted to make a video that doesn't take itself too seriously, even if the song itself is dealing with weighty issues ... We had the incredible opportunity of working with three extremely talented and funny actors.'

'Awakening' also features Adam Campbell (Epic Movie) and Jayma Mays (Heroes) plus what Foreman calls a 'claymation with photos' technique that animates Switchfoot and Hale in a way that's never been done before.

The Daily Reel declares, 'I can't help but find joy in the outrageous antics of Tony Hale in this newly released video ... with a strong hook and a catchy core beat, the Grammy-nominated Switchfoot has a strong chance to make themselves inescapable on the airwaves.'

Well known for the hit anthems 'Meant to Live,' 'Dare You to Move,' and 'Stars,' Switchfoot recently released its sixth studio set, OH! GRAVITY, to the best reviews of its rising career. Associated Press calls the project 'an outstanding record in every sense' while Alternative Press hails it as a 'sparkling, focused album bursting at the seams with giant hooks and even bigger ideas.'
