New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alberta Cross will release their new single Find A Home Out There on June 22nd. It is taken from the forthcoming album: What Are We Frightened Of? due out in
September this year on their own imprint, DARKMATTER which will be distributed by THE ORCHARD. The video premiered on Billboard today along with an interview with Alberta Cross'

Led by Swedish-born lead singer and guitarist
Petter Ericson Stakee, Find A Home Out There on the surface is a song about travel and transit, a life whose rootlessness was accentuated by moving homes from Sweden to London and from Brooklyn to Berlin. On a deeper level, it addresses an abiding physical and spiritual displacement, a sense of haunting a place rather than living in it. The music is fluid and howls like a lone wolf, the lyrics and video portray an observer, a passenger, reflecting on a black and white world that he is not a part of.
"Having been in transit almost my whole life - this record is, essentially, about connection and longing," reflected Petter. "It's about trying to find out who we really are and where we truly belong in this world and then trying to understand how those we love most fit into that equation and ultimately asking; are we good enough for them?"
The video was inspired by a photo shoot with art director Atelier Kazimir and photographer Julien Bourgeois and conceived by Alberta Cross and London based independent filmmaker Zoe Beck, who also directed it. It was shot primarily at night in negative across various locations in Brooklyn, Berlin and London - mostly from the wheel of her 1970 Buick Electra 225. These city scapes are reflected in Petter's mirror glasses, ever the observing passenger, never the resident.
Petter recorded this new song and album in East London with producer Luke Potashnick and drummer Tom The Lion. As a poetic undertone to these songs of longing is the coming full circle and creating this new music back where the band began in 2005 when
Petter and Terry Wolfers recorded their debut in London.

David Letterman and Last Call with Carson Daly.
Throughout April and May of this year they have been touring with Rag N' Bone Man. Previously they have supported: Mumford & Sons, Portugal. The Man, Them Crooked Vultures, Oasis,
Neil Young and The
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
They have also played - Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury, plus Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, Splendid in the Grass in Australia, Sweden's Malmofestivalen, Pukkelpop and Lowlands Festival in Netherlands and Rock en Seine in Paris.
