Texas Hard Rock and
Heavy Metal group Blackout, has signed a deal with 13
Music to release a greatest hits album.
"THE BEST OF BLACKOUT" includes 19 tracks spanning over Blackout's career, including radio singles such as "KIDS WILL ROCK", "CHIP ON MY SHOULDER", and "BOTTOM DOLLAR".
Blackout which formed in 1986 from the Dallas area, features lead singer Stan "
The Man" German, guitarist
Bobby Michaels, drummer Dave "The Hammer" Gregston, and bassist Jamey Reeves.
Regarding joining the new label, fellow bandmates gave their take; "I'm excited to see what 13

Blackout can achieve together" said Michaels, with Gregston adding "I'm excited for us to be with 13
Music and what the future may bring.. this partnership looks bright."
The group is currently performing live, and has shared the stage over the years with acts such as Pantera, The Winery Dogs, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot, Bret Michaels, Lita Ford, Great White, and Jackyl.
Blackout joins the ranks of emerging headbangers Creeper, Deathgrip, and Sylo to join the roster of
Texas acts to join the DSN
Music Group, which recently purchased Arizona-based 13
Music Ltd.
