Romina Arena And Perseverance Records To Release "Morricone.Uncovered" In September
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Perseverance Records) The long-awaited album of Romina Arena, her voice and lyrics honoring the music from several soundtracks by Ennio Morricone, will be released on Perseverance Records September 18, 2012. "Morricone.Uncovered" will feature 15 tracks, adding lyrics in English, Italian, Spanish and French to several Morricone film scores. The CD, with a running time of 57 minutes, is available at a price of $15.95 and can be pre-ordered as of today on the Web site of Perseverance Records.

Romina says: "I want to say a big 'Thank You' to my mentor Ennio Morricone, for giving me the chance again to add lyrics to his fantastic music. As always, his support has been extremely helpful, and I know that without him I would not be where I am today." Robin Esterhammer, owner of Perseverance Records, says: "Being in the studio with Romina, listening to her powerful voice and lyrics has been awesome. In my eyes, she is the `Queen of Popera´ and the female answer to Andrea Bocelli."

Earlier this year, Romina Arena and Perseverance Records signed a deal to release two albums worldwide. Following "Morricone.Uncovered," the second album will be released early next year, and is going to combine Romina´s voice and lyrics with music from several movie soundtracks by Ennio Morricone as well as other film composers. In 2000, Romina was the first female songwriter to add Italian lyrics to Morricone's "Once Upon a Time in America" movie theme, which was also covered by Celine Dion in English at the Academy Awards tribute to Morricone.

About Romina Arena
Music for Romina has been the vibration of her life since she was just a child. She was a Mouseketeer for Disney's Mickey Mouse club in Italy called "Topolino," and performed as a classical ballerina in major Italian theaters at the tender age of 7. The amazing and talented Romina Arena has overcome adversity in her rise to stardom. At age 15, she suffered a vicious attack in Italy that severed her vocal cords and rendered her comatose for many months. Romina, with true determination, not only survived the attack, but also completely recovered to become an international superstar with a five-octave vocal range. It is her powerful POPERA style (pop meets classical) that makes her unique and without comparison. Her ability to sing, speak and write music fluently in 10 different languages has allowed her to open many doors to the international music market, including here in the United States. Romina has performed with such POPERA artists as Andrea Bocelli, Alessandro Safina, Il Divo, Mario Frangoulis, and she also headlined on the Celine Dion stage at the Colosseum of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
