Trevor Jackson Releases Debut Project "#NEWTHANG EP" Available At All Digital Retailers On September 24, 2013
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Atlantic Records' newest R&B sensation, Trevor Jackson, eagerly announces the release of his debut project, "#NEWTHANG EP," available at all digital retailers on Tuesday, September 24 th . The EP - which includes the hit singles "Like We Grown" and "Drop It" Remix - sees the 17 year old superstar teaming up with all-star producers including Eric Hudson and J.R. Rotem. To celebrate the announcement of the release date of the "#NEWTHANG EP," Trevor treated fans to the official remix to "Drop It," featuring Atlanta rapper and Atlantic Records label mate B.o.B. Listen to "Drop It (feat. B.o.B)" below:

This new collection of music comes as Trevor embarks on the "Atlantic High Powered By High School Nation Tour" with label mate and fellow up-and-comer Justine Skye. Sharing the stage with the Atlantic stars are the Asian pop group Blush and modern-electro-pop band Stamps. The tour - which kicks off on September 23 rd in Nashville, TN and runs through mid-October - will see the two teen sensations taking their infectious sounds nationwide solidifying their brand via the Atlantic High campaign throughout high schools across the country.

No stranger to the small screen, Trevor recently teamed up with McDonald's for their "Monopoly Madness" campaign, both starring in and providing the soundtrack to the accompanying commercial, which features his song "Drop It." The last couple of months have also seen Trevor's two worlds, music and sports, collide as he performed at McDonald's All American High School Boys Basketball Game, the WNBA All-Star Game and Arthur Ashe Kid's Day at the 2013 U.S. Open.

What's more, Trevor continues to use his voice as a platform to give back and enrich the lives of others, especially his young fans. Trevor's supporters will have multiple opportunities to meet the young superstar, along with Justine Skye, on the road where Jackson will be hosting in-store signings at various locations ( https://bit.ly/18DwTZS ). Most recently, Trevor has worked with the Ronald McDonald House, NBA Cares, the League of Young Voters Education Fund, "No Guns Allowed" campaign, the Strike Out Cystic Fibrosis Charity and the Duffy's Hope Youth Empowerment Organization.

Truly a triple threat, 17-year old Trevor Jackson has been destined for the stage since honing his skills as a singer, actor and dancer at a young age, growing up in Indiana. Trevor captured the spotlight for the first time at the age of 8, blending all three of his impressive talents when he was cast as the role of Young Simba, in Disney's Tony Award-winning national tour of The Lion King . It was then, after being immersed in the role, and working with so many talented people, that Jackson knew that he was destined to be a singer. At the conclusion of his stint as Young Simba, Trevor went on to become the youngest and longest running actor to play the character on the national tour.

All the while, Jackson couldn't contain his charisma and charm on screen, which later led to him appearing on Harry's Law , Cold Case , Austin & Ally , and a recurring role on the SyFy Channel's popular series, Eureka . But it was a role in the Disney Channel original movie Let It Shine that would forever change Trevor's life. The film became the #1 movie of 2012 across kids 6-11 years old, and solidified Trevor's place in Hollywood's teen circuit.

As his star continued to rise with more television and film roles, Trevor found himself more than ever being drawn back to music, leading to a record deal with Atlantic Records in November 2012. Embracing influences such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Chris Brown, Trevor cultivated a musical style characterized by his own panache and presence. He's delivered that smooth mixture on stage opening for everyone from Michael McDonald and Ziggy Marley to Raphael Saadiq, Jason Mraz and more. "I just want people to hear how much love I have for what I'm doing and hopefully inspire them to find something they love. I've found so much inspiration in my favorite artists. If I can use my talents to inspire someone else, that'd be the best thing I could possibly do. I want everyone to enjoy this ride with me."
