LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) - On January 11th, 2005, Capitol Records will release the soundtrack for the upcoming Paramount Pictures drama Coach Carter, featuring 14 new songs from some of R&B and rap's hottest stars as well as numerous up-and-coming artists.

Twista teams up with Faith Evans for "Hope," the soundtrack's lead single, which Capitol is taking to radio now. Chris Robinson (Alicia Keyes, Jay-Z, DMX, Nas) is directing the video for "Hope."

Other highlights include the second single, "All Night Long," from Brooklyn's Red Caf?, which will go for adds in January, "Roll Wit You" from Crunk & B star Ciara, "No Need for Conversation" from Fabolous featuring Mike Shorey, "Southside" by The Game featuring Lil Scrappy, "Professional" from triple Platinum rapper Chingy (and featuring GIB) and "Wouldn't You Like To Ride" by Kanye West, Malik Usef & Common.

Inspired by a true-life story, Coach Carter stars Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Incredibles) in an inspirational account of a controversial high school basketball coach who received both high praise and staunch criticism when he made national news in 1999 for benching his entire undefeated team for poor academic performance. The film also stars Robert Ri'Chard, Rob Brown, Debbi Morgan and Ashanti. A Paramount Pictures presentation of an MTV Films and Tollin/Robbins Production of a Thomas Carter film, Coach Carter was inspired by the life story of Richmond, California coach Ken Carter, from a screenplay by Mark Schwahn and John Gatins and directed by Thomas Carter. The film opens nationwide on January 14, 2005.
