New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Razor & Tie) CuCu Diamantes'Amor Cronico Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released on February 26th on Razor & Tie. The soundtrack features 22 songs - 10 film score and interlude tracks and 12 captivating live songs performed by the flamboyant Grammy nominated Cuban-born and New York based singer CuCu Diamantes. The songs were all recorded as she embarked on her 2010 tour around Cuba and features guest performances from Los Van Van, Kelvis Ochoa, and Alexander Abreu. This is Diamantes' second solo release date who is also a co-founder of the band Yerba Buena.



The film of Amor Cronico combines live musical performance with a fictional love story into an energetic display of Diamantes' glamorous performance style with a comical twist. It shows theunique portrait of a Cuban artist traveling back to her roots. The film was directed by Jorge Perugorria (the lead actor in Strawberry and Chocolate) and produced by Sarah Green (The Tree of Life, Frida) and Grammy award winner Andres Levin. Amor Cronico is an independent Cuban/ U.S. project that debuted at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival, and is currently locking in distribution. The film stars CuCu Diamantes, Liosky Clavero, Jorge Perugorria, Andres Levin, Mirtha Ibarra, Nestor Jimenez, Enrique Molina, Wendy Guerra, Carlos Acosta, Laura de La Uz and Juan Carlos Tabio.



Two-Time GRAMMY nominated Cuban-American CuCu Diamantes was introduced to the world as the co-founderand lead singer of the band Yerba Buena. Dubbed by Interview Magazine as "the future sound of Afro-Latin Urban America," their debut album President Alien received at Grammy nomination in 2004.In 2009, Diamantes embarked on her first solo project, Cuculand, which went on to receive a Latin Grammy nomination. Diamantes has performed with artists from The Dave Matthews Band and Fat Boy Slim to Ray Charles and Celia Cruz. Diamantes is also a philanthropist, she is a spokesperson for Amnesty International's "Protect the Human" and "Stop Violence Against Women" campaigns.Diamantes is also a co-founder and artistic ambassador for Music Has No Enemies, a nonprofit designed to spread social justice through film and music.
