Firebug Sets Sights On One Eyed Jacks, New Orleans
New Orleans, LA (Top40 Charts/ 4 Entertainment) New Orleans indie rock band FireBug will be headlining One Eyed Jacks, New Orleans, LA on Friday, May 25, 2012. According to Reverb Nation's Featured Artist Review of FireBug (April 2012), "They are a jambalaya of music that consist of rock and psychedelic sounds that will entice you and mesmerize you. This is the kind of band that puts their heart and soul into every song and you can feel it come through when you hear them play."

FireBug has just returned from several well-received performances at South by Southwest (SXSW), and will be rocking their new hometown, New Orleans, with their always-dynamic style of rock, featuring the melodic vocals of Juliette Tworsey.

Others performing with FireBug on May 25 at One Eyed Jacks are Morella & The Wheels of If and DINOLA.

About FireBug:
Forged in the storied Wicker Park section of Chicago by vocalist Juliette Tworsey and guitarist Jules Shapiro, FireBug began cutting their musical teeth in and around local Chicago, then immersed themselves in the Los Angeles/Silver Lake club scene, sharing the stage with many artists including Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Abby Travis (Eagles Of Death Metal), unplugged sets at the Hotel Café with new folk artist Jesca Hoop (Tom Waits), and even performing acoustic with classic 60's folk icon Donovan. FireBug has recently made New Orleans their home, and have performed at Satchmo Festival, Dirty Linen Festival, Cutting Edge Music Festival, Café Negril, BMC, Hi-Ho Lounge, Siberia, Hard Rock Café, and Circle Bar.

FireBug's expertly woven hard rock/indie/blues sound with a bit of Irish/British influence is brought home by the sweet, slightly psychedelic, but intense vocals of Juliette Tworsey. The music brings to mind Led Zeppelin, Florence and The Machine, and The Black Keys - a fusion of indie blues sprinkled with some "Zeppelinesque" 70's "wall of sound." There are plenty of catchy melodies and moody dynamics reminiscent of early Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

FireBug have toured the UK several times, including a memorable performance in Knebworth at the sold out 2010 Sonisphere Festival with Iron Maiden, Iggy and the Stooges, Alice In Chains, The Cult, Good Charlotte, Papa Roach and many other major acts. In London, FireBug has performed in famous venues such as Dublin Castle, The Halfmoon and The Rhythm Factory. FireBug were voted best DIY songwriters and Winner of the UK New Music Video Awards, and have won Best International Act two years in a row (2009 & 2010) at the UK Exposure Music Awards (sponsored by ToursDates.co.uk). Their recent performances at SXSW 2012 have led to several new opportunities, which they are currently exploring.

FireBug are currently working on their next album with producer Chris Goss (The Cult, Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, The Duke Spirit, Arctic Monkeys, etc.), with a planned worldwide release in 2012.
