LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Miramax Films has finalized the deal to distribute Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh's next feature film project, "How to Survive a Hotel Room Fire". The previously untitled project is being produced by Scott Kramer and written by Coleman Hough. There is no cast on board yet for "Fire," being billed as sequel to Soderbergh's 1989 debut film, "sex, lies and videotape" - also a Miramax release. Soderbergh plans to follow up "Fire" with an English-language remake of Andrei Tarkovsky's 1972 Russian sci-fi epic "Solaris," for James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. Defying the odds, Soderbergh took home an Academy Award in March for directing USA Films' "Traffic" after also being nominated for helming the Julia Roberts starrer "Erin Brockovich" for Universal/Columbia Pictures.
