Jacques Pellarin has built a reputation for creating a unique sonic world based around the possibilities of French accordion music. Evoking a nostalgic sense of whimsy synonymous with the accordion and made iconic by the music of French cinema.
"Accordion Rushes" is Pellarin's first album of accordion pieces inspired by a bygone era of French cinema. Inspired by famous film composers such as Francis Lai, François de Roubaix, Michel Legrand, Georges Delerue, Jacques Loussier and Jean Wiener. Inspiration also came from films of
Claude Sautet, La nouvelle vague, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Fellini as well as recent independent American productions.
